Pastor John Briscoe was born in Saint Inigoes, Maryland. Pastor John attended and graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Carver Heights, now known as South Hampton. During the early school years John dated and married his now First Lady Mary Ann (Davis) Briscoe. They have been married for 43 years and have five children and three grandchildren. Pastor John retired from the Federal Government with 37 years of service from Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
Pastor John Briscoe attended St. Matthews Free Gospel Church, Leonardtown, Maryland for 24 years as a Deacon, Minister and ordained as an Elder in August 2002. Pastor John and First Lady Mary Ann Briscoe founded Restoration FGC in October 2005.
Pastor John Briscoe is often described by many as a giving, faithful, hard-working, patient man of God that exemplifies a true spirit of servant hood. Pastor John Briscoe’s greatest joy is to see men and women “saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth.” He is dedicated and committed to God, his family, and his church. He loves Teachingthe Word of God.
Through his teaching of the Word of God, hundreds has come and given their lives to Christ and Baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, in the name of Jesus Christ. Pastor John Briscoe believes in Commitment, as he has married many couples over the years.
Lady Mary Ann (Davis) Briscoe was born in Carver Heights and attended George Washington Carver High School until 1966 and graduated from Great Mills High School in 1967. Lady Mary Ann was the second oldest of twelve children. In her early childhood years she attended First Baptist Church in Lexington Park, Maryland. Lady Mary Ann was taught at an early age about the Lord through her guidance’s’ of her grandparents, Rev. William and Annie Latimore. In which her grandfather was a Minister at First Baptist and Assistant Pastor at St. Matthews Pentecostal Church in Leonardtown, Maryland before he deceased in 1965.
Lady Mary Ann worked for the United States Environmental Protection Agency for over 20 years.. Prior to working in the Federal Government, Lady Mary Ann worked for St. Mary’s County Public Schools for 14 years. Lady Mary Ann retired along with her husband Pastor John in September 2005. God gave her husband a vision and mission to open a church and call it “Restoration”.
During the past years Mother B. has always taken the “Mother role” and God has given her even more children to Love. Mother B. has taken her gift as First Lady to a higher level spiritually. She organized the Young Christian Women Auxiliary (YCWA) Program at Restoration in 2006. Each service is full of surprised topics and expressed with unique teaching of the word of God for Today’s Women.
Mother B attended a conference in Dallas Texas in 2007 and gained much knowledge addition to her prior government service skills in team work. Currently she has organized the auxiliaries at Restoration through the team concept.
Through her teaching and humble spirit, Mother B wins your hearts with her beautiful smile and her own sense of style for fashion.
